Child with maskThere are lots ways to get involved: 

  • Holiday Playscheme delivery: designing/delivering activities (maybe you're a great gardener, cook, rambler etc. - what ever your passion - there's room at SPLASH to share)
  • Community events (Baking, manning stalls, running activities, bringing in jumble)
  • Training and mentoring: maybe your expert in something that could really benefit the children and young people at SPLASH (Arts and Crafts, Drama or Sports) or maybe you have the skills needed to support young people gain new skills e.g their Arts Award.
  • The SPLASH Committee: A group of parents/carers who guide; support and sustain SPLASH for the benefit of children with additional needs all over Teignbridge.

There's lots to get out of volunteering with Splash:

  • SPLASH is a fun place to volunteer - with lots going on each day of playscheme - we go on fantastic trips and the children and young people who attend are incredible.
  • Right now we are developing a training programme with our current volunteers to facilitate all are volunteers inclusively: From First timers working in a childcare setting for children with additional needs to volunteers with a lifetimes experience.
  • We are committed to supporting young people with an interest in childcare and/or play gain experience and qualifications to contribute to their employment journey.
  • SPLASH is committed to supporting a diverse range of volunteers (including those with additional needs) become involved with our training programme and volunteering with Splash.
